Steven B. Roby

Mr. Roby, a native of Detroit, Michigan, emphasizes the practice of U.S. immigration and nationality law. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College majoring in Philosophy and English and a Juris Doctor (law) degree from the University of Detroit.

Prior to his American law education, he studied Law and Philosophy at the Universitaet Muenster in Germany; International Private Law in The Hague, Netherlands; and passed the Universidad de Madrid Complutense intermediate level Language/Humanities course in Madrid, Spain. He enjoys speaking and reading German and Spanish.

Currently he is admitted as an attorney in the State of Michigan. He is authorized to practice law before two U.S. District Courts in Michigan; the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio; and the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Roby has argued cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals (EOIR, U.S. Justice Department) and the Board of Appellate Review (U.S. State Department). He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He was an adjunct Professor at Thomas Cooley Law School (Auburn Hills Campus 2008 – 2011, Ann Arbor Campus 2011 – 2012). Mr. Roby enjoys speaking and lecturing in public fora about U.S. Immigration subjects from time to time. He has written several articles on immigration law for local legal and news publications.

Mr. Roby offers knowledge and experience in immigration and nationality matters and is proud to represent a diverse business clientele in a broad range of administrative immigration, citizenship and naturalization cases.
